3-Steps to Build a Home Based Business With No Advertising Budget

There are roughly 3 steps towards building a home based business with no advertising budget. Of course if you have an advertising budget you will be able to move along faster and build your business more quickly but not everyone starts off at the same financial place so this article will show you how you can build a strong business with no advertising budget over time. Please note these methods will work if you apply them continuously. They are not designed to be used one time but rather numerous times over a long stretch of time.

Step 1: Article Marketing

Article marketing is one of the first steps you can take to market your business and this can be an effective tool if it is done correctly. If you are only thinking about using the articles to promote your business you will find that it is difficult to get your articles approved and the chances of your article being read will also decrease. Write unique content that is relevant to what you are looking to promote and dedicate yourself to your goals. The more articles you write the more exposure you will have. If time is a concern you can start with one article per week and gradually increase. Objective is at least 5 articles per week if not more.

Step 2: Social Media

Social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter are a good way to increase exposure to your business but again this is about consistency. If you don't have a group of people already following you, the first step will be to start following others and posting content that offers value. For example, if your business is in the health and wellness industry post interesting facts about health related topics or things that people may want to know about health or how to become healthy. Once you have a built a stronger base you can start to share with them about the business that you are in. Remember social media is going to take some time to build so consistency is the key to success here.

Step 3: Video Marketing

Video marketing while a form of social media is different in that you have the opportunity to share with your prospects using the visuals that you are unable to do with article marketing and social media marketing. The end result of using video is it allows you the opportunity to engage with your viewers in a different way. The more invested your viewers are in the content you are providing the more exposure you will have for your home based business.

You now know 3 different steps and methods that you can use to build your home based business with no advertising budget. These methods do work and some of the most successful home business owners use these methods virtually exclusively in order to grow their business with the lowest out of pocket expense possible.

Home Based Business Tips

Before you ever start a home-based business, you must be fully prepared. You can dramatically increase your income potential if you approach the opportunity correctly. Take time to research the market to be sure you have the right product to match what people are looking for. Read through these helpful tips before starting your own home-based business.

When looking for a business opportunity it is a great advantage if you have firm ideas in mind, based on some kind of previous experience. It could be a business you have worked in, or a hobby you are passionate about. Without a passion for what you are selling, you are less likely to succeed. Always bear in mind that, whatever you want to sell, there must be people who share your interest in order to convert them to customers.

Like any other area of business the net carries a proportion of people who vary from the misleading, to the outright dishonest, so make it a firm rule to avoid all the promises that verge on the unbelievable because they almost certainly will be. Many want to sell you courses and other products guaranteed to make you a fortune overnight. Your own common sense ought to tell you that this is not going to happen. Making money from home, means putting in the same dedicated effort, that is needed in any other business.

Write a solid business plan and pay particular attention to the finances. Most people lack the skills to produce the more technical aspects of a plan and need professional help. Use both an accountant, and a legal expert, to cover these two critical aspects for you. You will be able to make up a work schedule, and produce plans, for where you will actually be working. Maybe you need an extension or conversion, to provide you with this, and the estimated cost should be included in your finances. Discuss your budget requirements with the accountant, and be sure to allow for a realistic period of time, where you will have to cover household bills. Retain a small reserve, as you are unlikely to produce much income from your home based business immediately.

As part of your planning you need to set out your goals clearly. You need to set both short and long term targets. Using weekly or monthly targets will enable you to project longer term goals more realistically. Setting goals is a normal part of being organized. It is not expensive to get your accountant to prepare you a set of books that you should maintain on a daily basis. Without accurate records you simply cannot run your business efficiently. Failure to do so can be an extremely painful experience when it comes to producing your normal tax returns. It is the only way to keep regular track of all incoming and outgoing transactions.

When you consider starting a home based business you must treat it as a business, and not as a glorified hobby. A business is a business, whether run from home, or separate premises. You absolutely must get your family to realise that your work space must be treated as your place of business, and be virtually off limits, during your scheduled working hours. Sound reduction is a necessary part of any conversion work you have carried out or, failing that additional insulation may be required to reduce distractions.

In the early stages you will be spending a lot of your time on building a customer base. This is a means of getting customers to patronise your business and can take several forms. You will need a properly designed website, and to use various approaches to attract visitors. Have your site monetised by including SEO. Join and participate in related forums. Sign up to social networks and post on them regularly. Be sure you offer informative content to attract and engage your audience. Ensure your designer makes your site easy to navigate to hold visitors interest. Your website must be efficient in order to rank highly with the search engines and to be user-friendly for the targeted customers.

Starting a home-based business can be a very rewarding opportunity. It does require hard work, discipline, and patience. Remember the old adage! If you fail to plan then you plan to fail. Use the advice offered here to help you get started on your home based business.

Methods For Small Home Based Business

A small home business should be easy to run and manage. The main idea behind starting a home business is that it can be done by the individual or a small number of people who are willing to dedicate their time and efforts into making it a success.

Though a small home business need not start with so much flare or drama, it is essential to take it seriously if it is to succeed. This starts with delegating a space or area for the business. Regular home based businesses make use of items that are normally found at home, but that does not mean that the business should be done just anywhere at any time. Working on the business needs concentration and dedication, and this could be hard if someone else suddenly needs to use the tools that are being used for the business.

Some people can afford to buy a different set of materials for their small home business, but for those who have to make use of what they have, the simplest way is to allot a specific time for the use of the equipment. Since the business owner is working at home, this should not be a big deal, but the idea is to focus on the business once it is started. For example, if the business is to create home-made cakes, the entrepreneur should let the other people in the house know when he or she will need exclusive use of the oven and other material needed. It may not seem like an important aspect of running a business, but being public about it or simply letting other people know of what you are doing will be a definite help for your business to run smoothly.

Another tip for small business entrepreneurs is for them to have clear and concise goals. This may seem like a given, but most people actually think that there is no need for planning when it comes to small businesses. Being able to make products and selling them are not the only important aspects of a business. When starting out a business, what is it that the organization wishes to attain? Is it simple profit? Even with a goal as simple as profit, most business ventures fail to plan out how to go about with the issue of costs and expenses.

A lot of business owners make the mistake of mixing their personal financing with that of the venture. Even if it is just a small home business, these hopeful entrepreneurs should be able to foresee how much the business requires for it to start and continue operating. There is a certain level where producing a certain number of goods will eventually keep the business running. In effect, the business owner should not be continually putting more money into the business because if that is the case, the business may actually be losing money without him or her knowing it.

Anyone can go ahead and start a small home business with minimum monetary investment, but the true investment in such a venture is in being focused, determined, and the untiring effort that business owners give.

Tips To Create And Build An Effective E-Mail List

Within any type of online business creating and building an effective e-mail list is a necessary business practice in order for a company to retain information surrounding consumers in specific markets.

With an effective e-mail list, it is possible to properly implement an e-mail marketing campaign which is both measurable and successful. But how do you create a good list? Well list building, a lot like other forms of information capture, carry their own little tricks of the trade and here today in this article we are going to look at some excellent tips which will help you on your way to creating fantastic e-mail marketing lists.

Decide on your software

For any e-mail list which is being planned a popular product of choice has always been Microsoft Excel which will allow you to create spreadsheets of e-mail addresses and create new fields with notes next to each address. Excel is highly recommended because it is cross compatible with multiple operating systems, too, allowing you to forward your list for review (if applicable) by management.

Whilst building your list you need to have regular contact with your subscribers. This can be done by using an autoresponder service like Aweber or Getresponse. You can capture email addresses and send emails out automatically. You only need to write the email once then once set-up, it can be sent to thousands of recipients who have opted on to your email list.

Create your list internally

Keeping all information in house when building an e-mail list is an excellent way of being able to manage the quality of your list and assess first hand how effective it may be.

Internal list building could take more time than it would outsourcing or getting an experienced list builder to help, but overall the extra time compared to the extra costs of outsourcing even themselves out.

Manage your e-mail list

This goes without saying however it is no good having an e-mail address within the list you are building when that person specifically requested never to be contacted surrounding marketing information, special offers etc.

It pays off in the long run to build a list of targeted subscribers who are interested in the information that you are going to send them. Be certain that when e-mail addresses are obtained they are from people who are open to marketing offers and receiving e-mail from businesses like yours. Overall, keeping tabs on your e-mail list will ensure you do not waste any unnecessary time or have angry consumers e-mailing you back surrounding their privacy. Make sure they can unsubscribe at any time.

Don't cave in to e-mail list brokers

Non reputable e-mail list brokers are the burden of e-mail marketing campaigns. Quite often, companies will sell you e-mail lists which go in to the thousands featuring e-mail addresses which are fake or have not been active for years.

If you are list building, do your best to not cave in to cheap offers from shady e-mail list brokers because it could do more harm to your list than good.

Be clear in your message

This applies more to when you decide upon engaging your e-mail list, however it is the most important part of any e-mail marketing campaign.

You need to be clear in your marketing message for your list to be effective. Imagine creating a fantastic e-mail list only to ruin your chance with a shoddy e-mail with too many offers and a bad subject line.

Overall creating a solid e-mail list is something which all online businesses should do as part of their e-mail marketing campaign. With our six tips explained within this article, you should be able to go about creating a list and use it effectively to generate a regular income.

Tricks to Make Easy Money at Home

Many of you reading this article will already have a home business of your own, or will have tried to make it with a home business and failed. These people really understand the struggles so many of us go through before we find out how to make our businesses successful. You hear so many people talking about ways to make easy money at home, and though the ways out there, it can often be overwhelming trying to make it work.

I've compiled a list of tricks you can use to make this process much easier. These tricks to make easy money at home can be used by people who already have businesses of their own, or by people who are just looking to start out in the home business industry.

#6 - Automate the Process
It's easy when working a home business to get bogged down in many of the details of running the business. That's why it's so important to automate as many of the processes as possible. This is what I teach first and foremost to my clients. You need to have an automated system doing as much of the heavy lifting for you as possible. Some things you might consider automating are the jobs of finding, sorting, and calling leads. There is software out there that allows you to automate these processes so when you pick up the phone to make a call, you're only going to be talking to pre-screened leads who are already interested in your business.

#5 - Find Your Target Market
One thing that experienced network marketers know, is that probably the absolute worst people to tell about your business is your warm market. For those who don't know, this is the list of family and friends most companies get you to build for the purposes of reaching out to every single one of them with the message about your business. This is a very quick way to alienate everyone you know. Instead, use what you learn about automation to find people who are already interested in the product or service that you have to offer.

#4 - Turn Activity Into Easy Money
Many people who take on the task of building a home business will waste almost all of their productive time. They spend loads of time researching how to get better at selling or finding distributors, but they never do anything about it! You can make easy money at home with so many businesses, but if all you do is research and never take action, you will never be able to make your business profitable. If you spend ten minutes reading about a strategy or tool for your business, spend the next 50 putting it into practice. Even if you don't know everything yet, at least you will be moving forward. Then as you learn more, your actions will continue to get better.

#3 - Convert a "No" to a "Yes"
It's a simple fact, that when you talk to people who have already expressed an interest in your business, you are going to hear a lot of "No"s. Why is this when they're already interested? It's because they want to express any fears or doubts they might have, so you can get rid of them for them. It's psychological for them. So when they say they don't have the time, explain how you can teach them automated systems to give them more time. When they say they don't have the money, explain to them how affordable your product or service is in the long run compared to the competition. Often, you will have to do this up to five or six times before they come around. Don't be pressuring, be comforting.

#2 - Keep Accurate Records
These can be a life saver. Keep a database of everyone you've talked to. Only a very few people will be adamantly against what you have to offer. The rest will just not be immediately interested or financially ready. In this case, you're building a huge list of potentially interested people which you can keep and can contact in the future. If you add a date to contact them on to this list, you can arrange your list by this date and call these people regularly to refresh their interest in what you have to offer. This is all part of...

#1 - Follow-Up for Extra Exposure
Following up is the best thing you can do to your list of leads. One thing you'll notice is that hardly anyone is completely against the idea of buying your product or service. In most cases, it's just a matter of it not being the right time. So, what do you do? Wait 30-90 days and contact them again. Mention some of the things you've talked about before so they will know you value them, and find out how circumstances are for them. Chances are, they might be ready now. If not, reschedule and try again later. Sooner or later, you will hit them at just the right time and they will be ready to make a purchase.

Simple Money Making Ideas

If you are looking for simple money making ideas the internet is a great place to start. You have to be careful to not get involved in any scams and when something looks too good to be true, it probably is. Always be smart about your investments and know that if you are looking to make money and you are asked to put money up in order to do so, you may be walking into a scam.

Start off with simple money making ideas such as online surveys. You can earn a small reward for every survey you take and although you will not be able to quit your day job you will earn some extra spending cash. When you are taking the online surveys you need to understand that the more reward that are offered the more you are likely be asked to do. The higher paying surveys will require you to complete offers and some will require you to use a credit card to purchase something, or have you sign an agreement to become a member to a website or program.

Other money making ideas include selling on eBay, affiliate marketing programs, blogging and freelancing. If you want to sell on eBay all you need is an account and it is free and simple to create one. You can sell items you have in your home, items from your own existing business or you can use drop ship companies to sell from their thousands of products.

If you want to use affiliate marketing as one of your simple money making ideas then all you need is a website or blog site that has a decent amount of traffic. You can place banners and ads for businesses, products and brands that you wish to promote and through the affiliate marketing program you will be given a cash reward for each action your visitors take on their site. This basically means that when someone enters your site and sees the advertisement for your affiliate program and clicks it to be directed to that website you are rewarded. Some affiliate programs offer incentives such as a percentage of each order the customer places while on their site, larger cash rewards for your visitors signing up for newsletters, giving personal information, taking surveys or downloading programs or application from their site.

Freelance work is one of the best money making ideas for those who have a talent to share and want to learn how to earn a living from home. You can find freelance websites throughout the internet that will offer job postings for just about any skill that can be done from home or online. You will find job postings for freelance writers, bloggers, web designers, programmers, virtual assistants and much more. The freelance sites are free to use and you can create an account on as many as you want. You can earn enough money through freelance work to quit your day job and start working from home as your own boss.

To Keep your customers returning to your business, offer them FREE offers, such as a free report or a free ebook etc. This will keep them wanting to come back to see if you have any more FREE offers, and just maybe - you will have a product that you are selling that they need and will want to buy on the spur of the moment.

Every business is different, so you need to figure out what works best for you. Try to keep in touch with your customers:

1) Start a Client List - The Money Is Always In The List. Get your customers to give you their name and email address. Do this by offering a free gift such as a free video, etc. in exchange for their name and email.

Pet owners want pictures of there favorite pet. Whether it's a hamster, snake, dog, cat or even a horse. They want good quality digital photo's of their animals.

Some ways you could get jobs would be to advertise in your local newspaper, or online. You might just be surprised at how many responses you will get.

Not only can you offer the digital print but there are other ways owners like to remember there pets. License plates, key rings, mugs, calendars, even T-shirts.

In this article I will give you some tips on HOW to take fantastic photo's of animals. One's the pet owners would be proud to display and show their friends.

I would suggest you find out what type of personality the pet has. No two animals are the same. Some are lazy and like to lay around all day not doing much of anything. Others are very active. Running, jumping, playing with other animals.

I had a dog that would chase the water coming out of a hose. He would jump up in the air and try to bite it.

Another one that would chase her tail and actually get airborne jumping up to get it.

Or how about that dwarf hamster running in it's wheel. Alone it's not much but add a slower hamster and the fun really begins. Mine are hilarious. One will be running very fast and the other sometimes goes all the way around. Or even gets tossed out of the wheel. But always comes back for more.

How about the baby calf? Just newly born exploring a blade of grass. That grass moves in the wind and the calf jumps.

These are just a few examples of some good photo opportunities.

Another suggestion would be if you live in an area where there are horse shows, people love to have pictures of there horses in action.

I live in the Ocala, Florida area. We have a lot of race horse's in this area. We also have Show Jumpers and Driving Marathons. (horse's pulling carts through obstacles). We have locale shows, 4-H shows and once a year High School Rodeo's. Any one of these would be a great place to offer your services to take digital photo's for the owners.

Parents wanting to see pictures of their kids winning ribbons. Jumpers going over fences. You could take one of the horse taking off, one of it at the peak of the jump and one of it landing. Kids barrel racing at High School Rodeo's or riding bulls.

These are just a few options.

If you are going to be taking digital photo's of small animals, dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, you want to chose a place the animal feels comfortable. Also, consider the background. Make sure the background doesn't catch your eye more then the animal you are taking a picture of. You want them to be the main focus, the first thing that catches your eye when you look at the image.

When taking a picture of a pet try and get as close as possible. This may not always be easy, especially if the pet is very active, but it will bring out more detail.

If it is just really impossible to get close then equip your camera with a zoom lens. This will help in isolating your pet in terms of depth of field. It will also slightly blur the back ground and make your pet the center of attention.

Another way to get great digital photo's is to get down on there level. Sure, you may look silly crawling around in the dirt to get a snakes eye view, but just think of the great pictures that will come of it.

Most owners wouldn't even think of doing something like that. They only take photo's from above there pet or while holding them. This will make the photo unique for them. Seeing there pet the way another animal would see it.

You could also have a helper dress up on holidays and hold the pet or at the very least be int he picture with the pet. How about an Easter Bunny or Santa Claus?

Take a variety of different angles of the pet. Focus on there eyes, ears, nose or even there whiskers for face shots. Take a full body shot, half body shot. Those pictures will give you images of different angles. Everyone takes pictures from the front view. Make your's different.

For example: a cat sleeping semi curled up with their head on their paws. Take the picture as a full picture from the front, from the back, from the side.

NOW is the time to take ACTION and start putting something you like to do into practice. DON'T WAIT!!!! Go to my website to learn more about the business of making money with your digital camera.

Tips to Becoming a Work From Home Success

"I'm ready." You say. "I'm ready to do this work from home thing."

I can see the glimmer of fear in your eyes, hear the slight shake in your voice.

It is o.k. I understand, you see, several years ago, I was where you are right now. My job got outsourced to a foreign country and I was faced with taking a demotion...starting all over again...or really giving working online a shot.

Hmmm...that was a while ago, looking back. 2007, it was. I didn't make my first dime until almost six months later. Since then, I've never really looked back.

When I remember how scary it was, to take such a risk, when I had so very much to lose, I sat down and decided to write you this list of 5 tips that will put you well on your way to becoming a work from home success story.

1. Set a Work Schedule and Stick to it.

This might sound overly simple, or obvious, but for those staying home for the first time, with no boss to motivate them, the basics are necessary to a strong foundation. Whether you are working in your spare time or full-time, once your set your schedule, try to focus your attention only on building your business during that time.

On the flip side, be sure to give yourself some down-time. It might seem like the longer you work the sooner you will achieve your goals, but, the opposite is often true. A tired mind makes mistakes. Mistakes can cost you time and money that you may not have in abundance.

2. Be Organized.

You will be glad you took the time to set up dated files when you have to search through 500 documents for one you wrote 6 months ago. If you have multiple clients, make a separate file for each one. When you need to invite a large group of potential partners, create a spreadsheet to simplify the task.

Another area to focus on is your time. If you have given yourself 4 hours a day to work on your business, you want to ensure that you get the highest return on that investment of time. What tasks will give you that result? Make sure you do them first.

3. Know what Motivates You

As time passes, you may find it harder and harder to keep yourself at a task. Do not let yourself be one of the thousands of business owners who quit right as they are on the brink of the "true" success that they desire.

The way to overcome this is to remind yourself why you are doing this in the first place. For some it is to prove themselves...others want...need...the financial rewards...and more do it for a loved one. Why ever you do it; keep reminding yourself when things get tough.

4. Know what Motivates Others

With this at the front of your mind, your message will come across loud and clear.

* What do your customers want?
* What do your partners want?

Answer these two questions for your business. This is what you need to give them to achieve the success that you desire.

4. Know and Budget Your Resources.

Time. Money. Assistance. If you have more of one resource than another, use it to gain what you need.

For example: Joann has a $50 a month budget and only 32 hours to work...she might decide to use what is left after paying her bills to buy an article pack with Private Label rights, to save her time for other tasks.

Steve has just enough to cover operating costs and is willing to work as much as necessary...he's pulled an all-nighter before. He might choose to spend long hours garnering free traffic by clicking at manual traffic exchanges while he email-markets to his list to bring in revenue.

Sherry has her business running on auto-pilot, she just needs to get things done in a timely manner. She might choose to spend some of her time and money to hire an assistant to see to the tasks.

Your situation will be specific to you. Take a bit of time to decide what you have and how you can use it to get what you need.

5. Run Your Business Like a Business.

You are not only the one answering the phone and the email and the hundred of messages on skype...you are also a business owner. This means setting up processes for getting things done as well as the doing of them.

When the phone rings, how do you answer it?

* Have you considered your company branding?
* Do you sound professional?
* What message will the caller get from your greeting?

Start Developing your company culture even if you operate alone. Larger businesses will respect you and smaller ones will look up to you. And when you are ready to expand to include others, your legitimacy will be firmly established.

These are my top 5 tips to follow, though I know that there are many others that are of value to a new or even established work from home business owner. They cover all of your basic groundwork so you can focus on growing your business the way you envision it.

So take a deep breath and go for it. You can be well on your way to becoming the next work from home success story.

Tips on Creating Your Gig

Creating a unique gig for a micro job site can be a great way of earning a little extra money without having to search for a regular second job. What should you take into consideration when creating gigs, though, and how can you make the most of them?

The answer lies in properly assessing all your traits, finding out what most people want, and creating a new type of micro job that would spark up their interest. Even when you simply go with mainstream micro gigs, properly organizing your time, and forming a good plan can effectively make the difference between success and failure.

Assess Your Qualities and Lacks

The first thing you need to do is assess all your qualities and lacks. When creating their gig, some people prefer to go with what they like, instead of keeping an account of what they are actually good at. While they may have a blast doing a specific job, the quality of their work may be questionable if they don't have the necessary skill for it.

What you need to do, therefore, is write down a list of all your lacks and qualities you know of. Now, this list has to include skills, as well as personality traits, since various jobs may require a specific type of mindset.

For instance, even if you are a good programmer, you might have a difficult time paying attention to details, or you might lack the patience required to deal with complex tasks. As a result, when shaping your gig you have to take these details into account, as well, besides assessing your technical skills.

Find Out What People Want

You can't create your gigs if you don't know what people want. If you have a choice between turning an eccentric hobby into a micro gig or posting a job based on requests made by people who are actually willing to pay for that work, the latter will prove to be much more profitable.

You can find a lot of information on various micro job websites where not only the workers, but the employers can post requests, as well. Just browse around, and see what people are looking for the most, and you'll already have a good idea of how you can put your skills to practical use.

You Need Two Plans

It's not always enough to simply form a strategy about how to organize your time, and provide timely feedback to your clients. If you just focus on the task at hand, you may be able to earn a few dollars, but without expanding your view, you won't get very far with your endeavors.

Especially when you plan on creating micro gigs and jobs for a long term period, you will need both a short term plan to help you deal with deadlines and provide a constant quality level when it comes to your work, and a long term plan that would include the possibility of expanding your work, and broadening your horizons concerning the concepts you use.

Be Proactive

If you want to earn a lot of money with a micro gig, you will have to be willing to meet the demands of your clients, no matter how difficult some may be. Once people start seeing that you're doing a good job, more and more of them will be applying for your services.

The only way of not losing your perspective when you're faced with a large work load is to be proactive. Determine exactly how much time you can spare for your micro jobs per day, and work as intensely as you can during that period.

If you keep all these tips in mind, you might have a good chance of becoming successful without working too hard on acquiring new skills. This way, after you create your gig, you will then be able to master it and provide high quality services for all your clients.

Tips on How to Start a Legitimate Home Business

The number of scams on the web is increasing and this makes it very difficult for a legitimate home business to stand out and thrive. The question is how do you find a legitimate home business among all those scams?

Pay attention to the following list of things before starting your own venture:

1. Tested Business System- Is this something new? Or is it a tested idea that has already proven its value and success? You don't want to lose time and money on a system that has not been tested before.

2. Proof of Credibility - You should only join a business opportunity that has a good reputation with current and previous customers. I would advice you to ask around at forums or do a small online research to learn what others have to say about the company. You may be surprised at the results.

3. Choice of Product or Service - Ask yourself the following question: Is the product or service something that people will actually need and use often? Search for a business opportunity with products or services that are used on a regular basis. This will help you attract new customers more easily and keep the old ones as well.

4. Free to Try - Most of the legitimate home businesses are not free. But this is not a sign that they are scams either. You can tell the difference if they at least let you try their service before you decide whether it suits your needs or not. It is nearly impossible to build a successful business without some monetary investment. Again, you should be really skeptical of an opportunity that does not let you have a free trial for at least a week or a month.

5. Compensation Plan - A good home business opportunity should have a clear compensation and commission plan. Evaluate the profit prospective and ask yourself whether it is possible to earn a full time income and how hard this can be.

6. Training and Resources Section - This is an important section that every legitimate home business opportunity should be able to provide. Members must be able to access support tools, helpful resources and training material that will ensure their success as home business owners.

7. Promises - Competition is hard so almost every home business will promise you great profit. This is pretty much expected. Be careful however when they overdo it. Any business that guarantees you will earn hundreds, thousands, or even millions, in a short amount of time, is definitely lying to you. No one can ever guarantee the amount of money you will make and how much time you will need.

I believe this is a good selection of criteria on how to choose a legitimate home business opportunity. Use the information given above as well as your own instincts and there is no chance that you will ever get scammed!

Online Competition Success Tips

Whilst entering competitions can be a lot of fun, it is certainly not an easy sure-fire way to make cash! Initially you have to look at comping as a hobby, it will take a lot of positive thinking and dedication. Remember folks, luck is always going to be the predetermining factor to your hard work and success, you have to believe that you are going to be the lucky winner!

Success Tips:

Set up a dedicated email address exclusively for entering competitions. Not only will entering competitions be easier to manage by having all your entries in one place, it will also absorb all the spam and keep your established everyday inbox clean.

Statistically the best way of winning competitions is to enter as many as possible, you've probably heard of the old saying 'throw enough mud at the wall, some of it will eventually stick. I would recommend you enter at least 60 competitions a week if you want to see the fruits of your labor. As we all know, 'You have to be in it to win it'.

Save valuable competition entry time with easy one-click intelligent form filling. There are many reliable software sources that fill in your data on almost any web form to eradicate needless typing! Robo Form and Greasemonkey are both excellent products in their own right, very easy to use and makes completing long registration, checkout and autofill survey forms a breeze.

It's a good idea to focus your efforts on prizes that you can really use. It's also worth noting that a competition involving a quiz usually attracts fewer entries, it makes perfect sense to enter this type of competition, and you will have a much greater chance of winning.

Go Social! Twitter has led to a new trend of comping by way of entering Retweet and follow contests which only takes just a few seconds to enter. Twitter marketing activities are designed to get people to follow which ultimately increases their number of followers and builds brand awareness. Before you get started you will need to (If you haven't already) sign up for a Twitter account. Your chances of winning this syndicate style will depend on the number of eligible entries received. I would recommend the following sites to search, all of which offer a rich source of updated Twitter competitions, Theprizefinder.com, Loquax.co.uk, Ukwins.co.uk and competitionhunter.com.

Another excellent and worthy competition application is to appear on game shows to win cash, cars and holidays. This year I personally won £22,472.00 as a Deal or No Deal contestant, not bad for a couple of weeks work. I would highly recommend using the Beonscreen website, you will get new show alerts sent instantly to your email inbox, alternatively follow Beonscreen on Twitter and get new show details instantly! The downside to game shows of course is that you are unable to hide behind your laptop for this one, it will involve show casing yourself in front of large cameras, studio audience and meeting famous people such as Noel Edmunds.

Home Business Tips And Tricks

If you are aware of the right ways to work from home to earn money, running your own home business might be more attainable than you think. However, to many people, the concept appears too optimistic to put into practice. Follow the tips in this article to get the basic information you need.

The internet is the perfect place to promote your home business. Hire someone to build your website, or do it yourself. Make sure it's easy to get around. See to it that you are really providing your website visitors articles that they could in fact employ, and offer these individuals the chance to conveniently contact you or get any one of the goods you are offering online. Look for more ways on how to make a great website for your company.

Save your receipts, especially when running a home-based business. A number of your everyday expenses are tax deductible if you can tie them to your business. Make certain you make it a practice to place each invoice into a specified area for safe-keeping, to make sure at tax time you'll be certain to have any that you might need to have. Failing to keep these items will cause you many problems in the long run.

If you have to take a client to lunch, be sure to deduct that cost as a business expense. These events are considered business expenses. When doing this however, make sure to only do so with business associates or customers, because taking your kids to lunch and claiming a business deduction is not smiled upon by the IRS.

Safeguard your really important company data files by simply backing them up using cost effective removable storage devices. This may cost you a great deal of money and prevent you from paying taxes properly. There are also businesses that offer online backup services.

Select names that really mean something. Your name should be representative of what you sell, which is why it is important to have a name that customers can appreciate. There may be a quirky and/or inspirational story associated with your brand name. This makes your brand more recognizable, which will assist you in gaining customer loyalty in the future.

The dream of owning a home business is one shared by many. Unfortunately, the people who have this dream are mostly people who will never learn how to create their own successful home business. By following these tips, you will be ready for effective home business management.

Tips to Help You Succeed in Network Marketing

Don't go in blind to your network marketing opportunity. Use these tips to give you and your downline a competitive edge, that will result in your organisation building faster.

1. Concentrate On Your Work
Don't let yourself be distracted by other activities, like personal calls, Facebook, or games. For the time each day or each week that you set aside to work on your business, let nothing distract you from working. Most people only set aside a few hours per week for business building, so make that limited time count.

2. Keep Regular Hours
This has two benefits. It gives you and those around you a set schedule that you can get accustomed to. This helps prevent interruptions. Also, you can post your hours on a website or leave them on an answering machine message to better help your clients and/or customers know when to get ahold of you.

3. Hold Yourself Accountable
Write down the hours that you work. Keep an activity journal so you know what you're accomplishing in that time. Write any distractions that happen as well. Use this information to review your own performance once per month to see what areas you can improve in.

4. Focus on Income Producing Activities
If you make your money from sales calls, then this should be the only activity you do during your work time. Use other time for finding numbers, creating websites, or whichever other methods you use to get numbers to call. When it comes to work time, do only the activity that brings you money and nothing else.

5. Set Realistic Activity Goals
Don't set goals of how much money you want to make, because these can be very difficult to keep to on a time schedule. Set activity goals. Too many people waste too much time on research and learning and don't spend enough time actually doing the work they're supposed to do. Keep your goals activity-based and the money will follow.

6. Know Your Compensation Plan
Get to know exactly what activities bring you money, how much, and how they are all related. You want to know exactly which activities to focus on so you can budget your time accordingly. 80% of the work you do should be income producing activity. The other 20% is your research and support work. Knowing how your plan works can let you come up with the best method of how to build and grow.

7. Organize Your Downline
Certain businesses will actually reward you more if you can build your downline in a specific fashion, like the branches of a tree or "legs" in some businesses. Rather than just recruiting everyone beneath you directly, it may occasionally be in your best interests to give a direct recruit to one of your downline members in order to advance your ranking in the company to a better position. This will increase the commission you get from direct recruits for yourself and make you more money faster.

8. Motivate Your Team
When you've started recruiting people into your downline, you're going to want to make sure they're doing the work required to build their businesses. Their work, is your work at this point. If the people you recruit don't learn good habits, they won't pass these on to the people below them. Call your recruits weekly at first, until you start seeing them succeeding, after that, monthly to get a status report and see how their business building efforts are going. Reinforce any positive results they get to keep them happy with the business.

9. Train Your Downline
One of the major failures people subject themselves to is signing people up for their business and leaving them to the wolves. This is a fatal strategy, because those people will quit your business. Rather than recruiting hundreds of people and leaving them, take the time to train and help those people you recruit to learn how to build their businesses. This will ensure they stick around in your business, and pass on good traits to those that they recruit. Don't take on more recruits at a time than you can properly train and provide support to. If you're getting higher numbers than you can handle, pass off recruits to your downline. If you've trained them well, they will know all the tricks you know and their success if your success too.

10. Reward Your Successes
Regular acknowledgment of your successes helps to keep you focused and motivated. Each time you hit a new milestone, like a new rank in your company or a new level of income, treat yourself with something nice to reward your accomplishment. It's the same principle as congratulating your downline. A little treat helps the psyche and allows you to push onward.

Following these tips and tricks is not a guarantee of success, but it will put you miles ahead of most people who're looking to make money online. This list will help you avoid some of the classic blunders of people just getting into network marketing. Your Empowered Life

When I think of a life of "true bliss," I think of a place where we follow our hearts desire, our dreams our goals and aspirations.

I think of finding fulfillment and having a life of purpose. An empowered life where you live your life to it's limits.

Sounds great! The problem, we don't typically spend much time following our dreams and aspirations. We are too busy in our day to day schedule to even look up out of the fog to know what we truly want in life.

For me, I was making a good living, but I wasn't making a good life, I wasn't "living a life without limits."

I was chasing down the wrong rabbit hole. I thought as long as I was bringing home a good paycheck, the family was healthy, and no major catastrophe was happening then I was on the path of, "true bliss."

The reality, I was coming home from my job feeling, "spent," with no energy for anything else in my day, and no patience. I hated coming home to the most important people in my life like that. Let me explain.

I get off work one day a little late. It had been an extremely busy day and I was feeling especially tired. I just wanted to get home and relax. Instead I'm stuck in commuter traffic for 55 minutes and I can feel myself getting more frustrated as each minute goes by. "Just relax I tell myself," and I turn the radio up a little louder, trying to just revel in the music.

My mind gets side tracked into all the things I still have to do when I get home. I think, "I should have gotten dinner started before I left this morning."

I walk through the door and the first words I hear are from my son, " hey mom I don't get this homework, I need you to help me." "I'm busy you need to figure it out yourself," I reply.

"I can't I already tried."

The exchange continues for a few more minutes and ends with my son saying,

"OK fine I'll just have my teacher help me tomorrow."

Teachers reading this are probably cringing right now.

Not my idea of being an empowered women or having an inspired, dream life. It's days like this that we all have, We know there is something better and yet we settle.

Why do we settle?

The challenge for me was to determine what it was I wanted, what my dream life looked like what my life of aspirations and purpose was. Then moving towards them was scary as h*ll.

Yes change is scary (honestly some days, bloodcurdling) and tough, but look at the alternative.

Imagine what it would be like once you have achieved it. Life is short and as they say, there is no time like the present. For me the best decision I ever made was to follow my heart. To become an entrepreneur and to live my life my way.

For change to really happen for you it must come from a very personal place in you.

You have to get to a place where you decide the pain of being where you are now is more than the pain of change.

You know that place that says, "I just can't do this any more."We have all been there at one time in our lives with something.

Then you muster up all the courage you can find and, "go for it." Sounds easy, but not so much. You've been there where you start to take the steps forward and then you quit, we all have.

To shift your life in the direction you want it to go, it all starts and ends within you. The payoff is monstrous and once you start taking the small daily steps, each day gets easier.

You have already seen this in your own life. We have each made changes in our lives that at first we were uncertain of, but as we had small success we became more and more confident and then eventually looked back and felt this huge sense of pride and accomplishment.

We all have greatness in us, our hearts desires, dreams and goals can all be manifested. Go for your dreams with passion, commitment, patience, and persistence. They are totally achievable for you. We have a complimentary 7 day training series to help you get started, 'Living A Life Without Limits. "

Traits of Successful Freelancers

If you look at the number of contractors listed in either oDesk or Elance, you will be distraught at the sheer number of freelance competitors you are up against. The feeling is similar to hitting an air pocket while soaring at 35,000 ft.

Be strong. Freelancing is not for the meek. It is for the stout-hearted, with dreams bigger than the Alps and the tenacity of honey badger (rated by the Guinness Book of world records as the most fearless and tenacious animal).

Keep in mind the unfailing 80/20 rule. This means that in any group, only 20% are really good while the rest are just getting by. Keep your nose glued to the 20% and emulate them. They are the guys who are regularly keeping PayPal or AleftPay busy

What is the secret of this 20%? What do they have that the others don't?

Well, there is no secret. It's the same old, and overused, "attitude." According to surveys, successful freelancers, assuming writing and technical skills are the same, have these traits not found in others:

They are prolific writers:

Musicians practice even without a concert; athletes practice even if there is no tournament. For obvious reasons, successful freelance writers write even if they are not working on a project. They write everyday. Practice makes perfect.

As a writer, you must constantly evolve into something better. Set no limit to your writing skill and your interests.

You can only hold that star in your hand if you reach out for it.

They are organized:

A cluttered work environment is a product of a cluttered work habits and cluttered work habits, a product of a cluttered mind. And a cluttered mind will show in your writing.

Where would you have your car fixed, in cluttered garage or in a clean and orderly one?

Orderliness always has a positive effect in the way you do things. It gives you pride in yourself, in your work.

They are reliable and consistent:

A freelancer works for a client, which means your time, your output, your quality are not yours to determine but by others. It matters not how good you think you are. What matters is what your clients think of you.

Long term relationships, and earning potential, are built on trust, not by brilliance. Consider that your foremost objective as a freelancer.

They are professional in their dealings:

Remember the saying, "Be honest even if others are not?" Consider that your mantra as a freelancer.

We all want to deal with people who are professional in their business dealings, don't we? Thus we go to our favorite convenience store, our favorite bar, our favorite gas station, confess to our favorite pastor. So why shouldn't you be professional in dealing with your clients?

They think long term:

Except on very rare cases, successful freelancers attained success by treating each writing assignment as a step in a staircase going upwards.

They are writing for a living, not just to satisfy today's hunger. They write for big bucks by accumulating every penny that comes their way each day

They never stop learning:

Writing is creating something from all the things that happened to you, around you, in you, be they people, events, things, experiences, etc., up until the present.

What makes a successful writer is the constant shifting of the word "present," forward. They just don't stop learning.

There are probably countless freelance writers at present. Only a few are making serious money from their efforts. Let that not be an excuse for you to be one of those who are not.

You may have your own game plan of standing on the same stage successful freelancers are standing on. But if things are not going as you expected, when things get tough and you can't seem to make sense of what you are doing, take stock of yourself and compare yourself against these tried and proven traits. I am sure you will find a lot of answers to your questions.

Home Based Business Ideas

This article will list out the 10 most solid and rewarding home based business ideas that you can use to start your own small venture and work on your own terms.

1. Consulting

This is one of the most common home based business ideas that people use to work and earn from home. If there is a subject that you are good at and passionate about then a little more effort can see you become something of an expert on that subject. You can then help other people looking for information and guidance on that subject.

For example, if you like taking care of your home and know how to keep it free from infestation, a lot of people wouldn't mind paying you for consultation if you could help their homes be free of infestation.

2. Blogging

This is similar to consulting in that you need to have a topic or subject that you are passionate about and are willing to spend time on. However, how you earn money from blogging differs from how you earn from consulting.

In the last few years, blogging has become one of the most sought after online business ideas which help people earn money online mainly from advertising revenue and to some extent from commission revenue. Blogging is also one of the passive income ideas that help you keep earning money continuously.

3. Product Reviews

If you really like playing around with products like electronic gadgets or other utility products, a lot of websites and magazines would be willing to pay you decent amounts of money for putting together a comprehensive review of these gadgets.

4. Freelancing

If you have some sort of technical skill for which companies hire people, you might be able to put those skills to use on freelance sites. Using freelance sites, you can choose the jobs you want to do for a specific amount of time from your home and get paid for it.

5. Ecommerce

E-commerce from home might sound daunting but rest assured, it is far from that. If you make good use of dropshipping, you can be up and running with a profitable home business in under a week.

To make this a success, you will need to set up a website to sell products, set up a payment mechanism to accept payments and find a dropshipper who will dropship the products that you will be selling.

6. Internet Marketing

Amongst all the online business ideas and passive income ideas, Internet Marketing is probably the most lucrative one. Companies pay a good amount of money if you can help them market their products online.

If you can generate traffic and send the traffic to offers put out by various companies, you can earn a decent chunk of money from this. And the best part is that a lot of the work done in internet marketing can result in passive income for months or even years.

7. Online Services

A lot of websites need services like content optimization, SEO and link building. If you have the necessary skills to do these jobs, there is a lot of work available through freelance websites and on online forums.

8. Writing Services

Businesses and websites have a constant need for new, fresh, relevant and high quality content. If you can write good content, you can make substantial money by working from home. Over a period of time, as your home based business for writing grows, you can even start outsourcing the writing work to increase your profits.

9. Website Design and Hosting

Website designing and hosting is probably one of the oldest online business ideas. It might be old but it is still effective. Most importantly, once you have an established client base, the hosting income is one of the most stable passive income sources available.

10. Private Tutor

If you have an aptitude for teaching or making learning easier, being a private tutor to kids can also be a very good work from home idea. Apart from earning money, you can also get the satisfaction of helping shape children's futures.

Regardless which of the home based business ideas you choose, it is very important that you plan ahead. Keep in mind that like any other business, home based businesses also face uncertainty arising from market conditions. Being aware of these things will increase the likelihood of your home business idea being successful.
